5-10-05 I'm still into 951's and have started a forum, if you are interested in hard core tech info please check out http://www.951forums.com.

12-14-02 Over the last few years I've kind of forgotten about this website. I recently bought yet another a 1988 951.

10-23-00 My 911 SC website is now online. Follow my new adventures at http://www.lilray/911/

7-29-00 I bought a '79 911 SC last week. The car needs lots of work and will make an excellent guinea pig for another website

7-4-00 I sold my M3 to the high bidder of the ebay auction, it was a totally smooth transaction. I've moved the pictures to the website they can be found under the about me section. I'm now looking for another 944 Turbo or a 911.

6-22-00 The M3's on Ebay, the pictures look great, check it out click here.

6-10-00 I've got someone interested in my M3 so hopefully I'll be in the Porsche market soon. I will take pictures of it before I sell. I think it's one of the best cars I've owned, it ties with the 944 turbo. In some areas it actually outperforms the 944 turbo. I've added three new pictures in the wheels section of a with polished Fuchs.

5-3-00 Is this site ever going to be updated? I hope. I've decided to sale my M3 to buy another Porsche.

3-21-00 It's been almost 3 months since I've updated this site. I recently bought a '89 BMW M3. I will soon me making a sub-site for it.

I've sold my 944 Turbo, here's the story below.

12-27-99 Hello everyone, Let me start by saying none of this would have happened if the Rennlist didn't exist. I think it's really great that we can communicate over the Internet. Especially when you live in a place like South Mississippi, where there are only a hand full of Porsches, and maybe only a couple of true Porsche enthusiasts. I've been playing the 951 game for about two years now, they are really great cars, a pain to work on, but are truly a dream to drive. About a month ago, I decided I was ready to move on, I've had 3 of em and it's time to get a taste for something else. I started telling all of my buddies I was ready to sell and to put the word out. A couple of weeks ago Stephen (PorschePhD) and Michael (Over210mph) simultaneously instant messaged me saying Stephen had a buyer. A couple of hours later it was a done deal, Stephen put me intouch with the buyer, we discussed the car, agreed on the price and that was it. It was a totally smooth sale, and actually the easiest part of the deal.

Next semester I will be changing colleges from the University of Southern Mississippi, to Mississippi State University, so the timing was perfect, I could sell my car and possible find something to replace it, before the big move takes place. On Friday I went to take my last final, packed the car and hit the road. I stopped in Memphis at my friend Victor's house to spend the night. That night we went for a blast in his '88 951. Boy it was quick, much faster then my car. We were about 3 or 4 miles away from his house when all of the sudden the 951 lost power, died, and coasted to a stop. It was freezing cold, pitch black dark, and we were out in the middle of nowhere. Of course we didn't have any tools or flashlights. With Victor's Zippo I opened the fuse box, and managed to find the DME relay, I gave it a few thumps and she fired back up. We blasted back to his house and parked it, prematurely ending our fun. I didn't even have time to drive it :(

I woke up early Saturday morning, hit I55 towards St. Louis. I was planning on stopping to meet a fellow 951 owner and 944 Rennlister, Menelaos Karamichalis. Unfortunately I was running late and he couldn't get away so we were unable to get together. However he did help me successfully navigate through St. Louis via the cell phone. After that, I hit one of the worst roads I've ever ridden on, I-70 West, headed towards Kansas City, MO. After driving for about 8 or 9 hours and I finally arrived at PhD's house just across the Kansas border. At that point I was ready to drop dead. It had been over 4 hours since my last cup of coffee and my caffeine was worn off. It didn't take the boys long to get me motivated again and the three of us went to work on my car, unloading, spit shinning, and doing a little TLC that they thought the buyer would appreciate.

After we declared my car ready to sell we took it for one last spin. This is where the story get's good. When we got back it was time to fire up PhD's "Monster" (yes I designed Monster's website) nearly 500hp 930 and take it for a dig. I didn't know what to expect. Wasn't sure if it was gonna be a sled on bottom end with lots of lag, no streetability and a mean top end or if it would be like a 951 on steroids. PhD, hit the key and Monster's pipes started talking to us and yes, it was nice and loud. From the moment we backed out of the driveway, the car was an absolute dream, no bucking or snorting like I had expected. The little flat-6 was as smooth or smoother then a stock SC's motor. If I had been blindfolded I wouldn't have been able to tell you if it what kind of 911 we were ridding in as long as he didn't punch it. After it was nice and warmed up PhD took us to the interstate. I wasn't expecting what was about to happen. The light turned green, we rounded the corner, and all hell broke loose. There was no lag, and defiantly no time to breath. The boost hit instantly and the Monster started trying to tear up the pavement. It was vicious, with the classic 911 style the rear slide out but like an old pro PhD kept it under control and walked it up the ramp. I was pinned in my seat, I couldn't move, couldn't even turn my head to see PhD working the wheel and pedals. The car didn't stop pulling, even when he let off it still accelerated another half second. I don't know how fast we got up to but I do know he made it to 3rd gear. I was speechless, I still can't describe the way this car pulls with words. All I can say is that it's the baddest thing I've ever ridden in. After that little blast we bailed off the interstate, and he offered me the wheel. I gladly accepted, and eased it around town for a bit. It was so easy to drive much easier then any of the 911's I've driven from that vintage. I did most of my driving in 2nd gear, it'd pull like a dragster from 2000 rpm to 7000 rpm. I think the coolest part was when I'd lift off of WOT and fire would shout out of the pipes. Very nice, if the rapid acceleration doesn't scare off the enemy the flames will surely send them running. After stretching Monsters legs we took her home for a good night sleep.

Later that night the buyer showed up and I inked the title for him and it was a done deal, we spent the rest of the time shooting the bull and hanging out professionally. Sunday Morning 210, loaded up his family and his newly rebuilt 930 motor and gearbox (I'm sure he will report on it soon) and headed home. A few hours later, PhD took me to the airport and I boarded a plane and flew home. The first flight was terrible and the second was Ok but to make up for the cramped conditions my dad picked me up from the airport in Jackson, MS in a '98 993 Cabrio. The cockpit of the 993 was so nice and warm, I fell asleep in the soft leather seat listening to the lovely hum of it's 3.6.

I'd really like to thank Stephen (PhD) for helping me sell the car, providing me with a place to stay, and letting me drive his monster and Michael (210) for providing moral, technical, and comic support. The two of them are great individuals and have really nice families. They are a major plus to the Rennlist. It's very nice to have had the pleasure of meeting them. Lastly I'd like to thank the entire 944 List for answering my questions and helping me keep my 951's on the road for the last couple of years. I'll still stick around to help. As far as what I'm gonna drive next. I'm not sure, it's either gonna be an M3, older 911 or a Volvo wagon. If I don't go the Porsche route, I want be able to stay away for long. But for now, I’ll have to wait and see what develops this week. As for this site, I will continue to update it. If I buy the M3, it will be a temporary thing. Maybe three months. Then I will sell it and buy a 911. Once I get a 911 I will design a killer website to go along with it. I will still happy to answer 944 Turbo questions.
